I love 'em all, but I have to say, Nadia has got be the prettiest chara I've ever created ^_^ ...and I've always loved Lance, he was kind of reawakened for an RP character recently and is doing well.

yeah, so I haven't even watermarked the photos I spoke of in the last post, but I do hope to do that today (we'll see how that goes...) as far as drawn artwork...eh...yeah, not going so well lately, been in a bit of a slump and my figure drawing skills seem to continue their slow spiral down the proverbial toilet. worse still is while I would like to get a life drawing class next semester to refresh everything, it looks unlikely.
I want to take a photography class, plus get a gen. ed. out of the way, and since the college stretches classes out more, they have more than one meeting a week, and I'm trying to be careful with both my breathing/homework room and not having my parents running back and forth too much with high gas prices and stuff (I still haven't the time to get a learners permit and we have no extra cars...) plus, my community college isn't exactly in a location where you want to just hang around at all day...not the best neighborhood.
and since Photography might just possibly be something I could do on the side of a real job for money, it takes priority over regular drawing for now - I entered Com. college to get my general job skill crud out of the way and to find a backup career path, not to cling pathetically to the avenue that failed and got me in this present mess in the first place (art and design, etc.)

kay, enough emo-ing! crap didn't mean to unload, I apologise, ^^' must remember that SkyGate is not the account to do that on! lol
anyways, need to get to those photos! later peoples!

I use regular Prismacolor brand pencils, so far they're the best quality I've found, but they can be hard to sharpen, their soft leads make for smoother color, but they're also fragile and break with infuriating ease @_@

and I will not go entirely digital - or entirely any medium really, I think people that stay with one medium can limit themselves in the end. I would like to learn digital eventually, yes, but I also think there's no substitute for a good traditional piece that doesn't involve an "undo" button. lol

Samus Aran! I was looking up pictures of Samus for art reference (I was going to draw Varia suit shooting missle but I wasted 6 sheets of paper because I can't draw her >:( ) and I kept coming across Zero Suit Samus pictures and the more I looked at her I noticed her face resembles yours quite a bit.
I was wondering if I can photo manipulate you with blue eyes and blond hair to show you?

I made a quick Samus manip using your Tsubaki photo. It's not professional looking but it looks good enough to show that you do look a lot like Samus, I even put a small pic of Samus in corner to show face comparison. I added a space background also. I want to show you so I'm awaiting your permission to upload it, I could e-mail it also.
